Electronic Locking Systems

Magnetic Locks

The range of magnetic locking is impressive and available to suit a multiple of door applications.

These surface mount locks are available with either a 300Kgs or 600Kgs holding force and they operate from either 12 or 24V DC. The locks are 100% fail safe and are ideal to use where there is a requirement to link into the fire alarm system.

Single and double versions of these magnets make them suitable for single door sets or a pair of doors and the magnets are available to monitor whether the door is closed and also if there is a strong magnetic bond between the magnet and its holding plate.

Magnets can also be supplied in full length architectural housings that can be powder coated if required to match the colour scheme of the building.

Magnetic Lock Brackets

A full range of brackets are available to suit our range of magnets.

The brackets can fulfill many requirements and are generally used where magnets are fitted onto inward opening doors or if the locking plate is the be surface mounted onto the face of the door.

Brackets can also be powder coated to fit in with the colour scheme of the building.

Electromagnetic Shear Locks

Electromagnetic shear locks are used generally in one of two applications.

Firstly, they are an ideal lock to fit onto a double action or "swing thru" door. The locks are recessed into the head of the door and the door frame and they only lock when the door has been opened and has returned to its closing position. The magnets sense that the door is closed and the locking plate is pulled up into the magnet creating a "shear" holing force of around 1500Kgs.

The second application is on any door where you don't want to see the magnet. As the locks are fully recessed they don't interfere with the aesthetics of the door set.

Shearlocks are fail safe and are ideal for use on doors where there is a requirement to link into the fire alarm system.

Solenoid Bolts

A solenoid bolt works in exactly the same way as a shear lock but its has a mechanical activation rather than an electromagnetic operation. When the door has been opened and falls back to the locked position, the solenoid shoots a bolt into the strike plate which holds the door securely locked.

The main benefit of solenoid bolts is that they are fitted easier than a shear lock as the amount of door that has to be cut away to install one is less. The locks can also be fitted into the vertical position as well as a horizontal.

Solenoid bolts accurately monitor the door and can achieve holding forces up to 3000Kgs.

The locks can be surface mounted and powder coated if required, they can also be supplied with a mechanical key override function.

Electric Releases (Contract)

Rednaus Ltd offer 2 ranges of electric releases to suit all budgets. This contract range is ideal where costs need to be kept down or on a door that has a low volume of traffic passing through it.

These strikes can be offered as mortice or rim fitting and can be supplied fail safe or fail secure to suit the particular application.

The range will work with the majority of locks and latches in the market and can also be supplied with a monitoring function that will give an output to confirm that the door is in the locked or unlocked position.

These releases can be supplied as standard gray finish, chrome or brass.

Electric Releases (Specification)

The specification range of releases are a quality solution for an application that requires an electric release to be of a very high standard.

These releases can be supplied as mortice or rim fitting and are designed for heavy traffic applications. They offer a very high holding force and can also be supplied to monitor the door to give feedback when the door is locked or unlocked.

These releases are generally supplied with polished stainless steel faceplates and are reversible between fail safe and fail secure.

This is a large range of releases and for further information on products in this range please contact Rednaus Ltd.
